CONGRATULATION to the our school Winners!
In the Art of Hope Drawing Contest, we are so glad that our school has swept through the whole junior section of the contest. Our students won the 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and merit awards. Below are the pictures of the fundraising dinner and award ceremony. All winning pictures would be exhibited oversea in the future.
After attending the dinner, we learnt much more about how many Aids-affected orphans Chi Heng organization has helped in China through these years. They help them to start new lives with art therapies, living and education up to college level. But there are still so much sad stories going-on and increasing needs for these children. They need love and support from us to live on normally. We are glad that we had joined this contest because it is very meaningful and our drawings help in spreading the love messages to the public in knowing the need for the aids-affected orphans and their families. I was really impressed by the detailed presentation of what they do; and more surprised and impressed by Lucy Chow, our student when she told me after the presentation that she felt so guilty... I asked why? She said it’s because she felt sad to see that the kids got nothing and she got everything here in Canada. A very kind-hearted girl! At that moment, I know we did the right choice to join this contest. Because the greatest achievement in the event is not only the winning awards, but to have learnt to love and care one another in our lives. Too bad that Wilson was not able to attend as well, otherwise, he would be very pleased, too.
So we hope that all the students who have participated should feel very proud of your art creations on this
“Art of Hope” project. You all have put lots of heart and effort in your drawings! They all look great and have shown your own inspiring, loving messages to the needed one and to the public. Make sure you forward these good meaningful creations to more people: http://web.mac.com/nghelena/iWeb/SpreadingLove/SlideShow.html
